The model
Ice, then the number.
Hockey is not a copied football board. The game comes first. Rest and the starter come next. Goals, shots, saves, and hits are separate tickets. Thursday’s eleven are final. Friday cashed. Colorado 5–2 at −205. Boston 4–2 at −118. Saturday is fourteen prices and zero sides. Nothing is 56. Opening-week player totals stay on the tape. They are tape, not last night. A question is not an out. No saves number until the starter is named. College hockey is the game only. There is no player board where there is no real player market.

One star from a seven-goal game is not a stack.
New Jersey won 7–1. Luke Hughes scored twice. We rostered Jack Hughes, then a Ranger, then a Vancouver minimum. Brady Tkachuk’s hat trick in a 3–2 was a name we did roster. McDavid did not fit, and Edmonton lost 4–2. The next sheet stacks the game that can get to six, or it leaves the spot open.
2 · Thursday
A spike score is not the next score.
Edmonton–Vancouver was 9–7. Saturday was Edmonton 3–1. The Rangers were 5–1, then won 2–0 on the back-to-back. Pittsburgh was 6–5. The Islanders were 6–0. None of those is Sunday.
3 · Thursday
Shots are not goals. Grade them apart.
Celebrini had 7 shots and no goal. Keller had 4 shots and no goal. McCann had 4 shots and no goal. The shot line is its own ticket.
4 · Thursday
Hits are not points.
Weegar had 7 hits and no points. Pettersson had 8 hits and points. The hit is not the goal.
5 · Thursday
A saves total from one night is not the next line. A starter who is not named has no line.
Garand stopped 22 in a shutout. That is not a saves over for Sunday. A starter who is not named still has no line.
6 · The weekend
A back-to-back is a shade, not a fade, and not 70.
The Rangers played Thursday and won 2–0 on Friday. The card was Detroit. A back-to-back was a shade, not a fade, and not a reason to lay the other side.
7 · Thursday
Two goals is a spike. Anytime is not two.
Guenther, Draisaitl, Knies, and Smith scored twice. The next card is anytime, not a second multi-goal night.
Questions
- What is read first?
- The game, then whether the starter is named. A back-to-back is a shade, not a reason to fade a team. A rating of 56 or higher requires a confirmed absence.
- Are Friday’s player lists the opening-week tape?
- Friday’s lists are the current opinions. Opening-week totals stay on the tape and are not reused as tonight’s lines. No save total until the starter is named.
